Blinkers On started a nice win streak on 5/30 at Santa Anita when Plane Lucky went gate to wire in a MSW for Cal-bred fillies going 5 1/2 furlongs. Leading rider Rafael Bejarano was in the irons for this 7 1/2 length victory. Race caller Michael Wrona said it best "Plane Lucky is just Plane too good". Plane Lucky will be pointed to an allowance race at Santa Anita on 6/23 or an allowance race at the beginning of the Del Mar meet on 7/15. Next up was Right Hand Man, our handsome son of Street Boss. In an open MSW race for 2 year old's on 6/10 Right Hand Man broke on top and never looked back in this 5 furlong dash stopping the clock in an impressive 57.77. He beat a stellar field and now is being pointed to the 125K Santa Anita Juvenile on 7/9. A win in this race could be a stepping stone to the G1 Del Mar Futurity. Then we got our next winner with Look Me in the Eye on 6/11. Regular rider Rafael Bejarano gave Look Me in the Eye a perfect ride as he sat off the pace then rallied for a 1 1/2 length win. Look Me in the Eye has not been off the board in 4 starts and will make his next start in a starter allowance race at Del Mar.
In other racing news Last One Standing will look for his 3rd win at Santa Anita on 6/24 or 7/8. Our 3 other promising 2 year old's, Gee Street, Maven Harry and Jet Ski are getting close to making their first starts most likely right at the start of the Del Mar meet.
Finally, Blinkers On welcomes Decoded to the racing partnership. Blinkers On purchased our stout daughter of Desert Code out of the Barretts May sale of 2 year old's for $120,000. Blinkers On's bloodstock team felt she had the best breeze in the sale (10.1 the right way). She just recorded her second 3/8th's so she is expected to make her first start at Del Mar in August. The best of racing luck to all!
