Plane Lucky is scheduled to make her next start in a Maiden Special Weight race on 9/25, closing day at Los Alamitos. The race is at 5 1/2 furlongs and knowing Los Alamitos favors speed this race should be the perfect fit if she is good enough. She is one quick filly! Our 2 year old Last One Standing has been looking for a race and we can't seem to find the right distance at the right level, when we do the race doesn't fill. So, we may be shipping to Golden Gate to run in a Maiden Special Weight race going 6 furlongs on the main track on 10/3. We think with his one pace running style the deeper Tapeta surface may be perfect for him because he will be coming from off the pace. He trained great on the synthetic when we bought him at the OBS April sale in Florida. Off the Deep End looks to rebound, possibly in a CLM 25K race on 10/4. He has been showing speed and stopping and we found out we were dealing with a breathing problem. We have taken steps to correct that and with the brief freshening he has had we hope he will get back on track.
In other racing news...our 4 time stakes winner, Red Outlaw, will be looking to make his next start at the upcoming Santa Anita meet, no race has been targeted at this point. Our promising 2 year old Majesticperfection filly, Echo Chamber, is back in training after getting sick this summer. We have high hopes for this filly, she has a beautiful way of going and is very fast. Look Me in the Eye was sitting on a win at Del Mar but was injured in his last work before the race. The surgery went very well, he will be on the farm for another 60 days and will be back in training. For those of you that have been interested in ownership, Blinkers On will be attending the Barrett's yearling sale at the end of October. We have had a great deal of success in the past at the sale with our Cal-bred purchases.
