Right Hand Man just might be the best sprinter in Northern California after winning the Oakland Stakes on 11/18 at Golden Gate Fields. The race featured a quality field of 10 horses including two-time defending champion Star Student, 6 times stakes winner Outside Nashville, Grade 3 winner I Will Score, Emerald Down star Mach One Rules and 17-time winner Percy's Bluff.
Right Hand Man pressed the pace to the stretch while two wide, rallied to edge clear in mid stretch then won by a nose under strong urging for his 3rd stakes score. Our 3 year old son of Street Boss has now won 147K with 4 wins in his 8 starts.
In other racing news...after finishing 2nd last time out in the Anoakia Stake at Santa Anita, Steph Being Steph will try and get her first stakes win in the Golden Gate Debutante at Golden Gate Fields on Friday 11/24. She looks like the class of the field and as long as she ships well from her home base at Santa Anita and handles the Tapeta surface she should be tough in this field. Good luck to the Blinkers On partners!
Gator Don't play looks like the next Blinkers On runner, he is being pointed to a 5 1/2 furlong maiden race at Golden Gate on 11/26. Gee Street looks to break her maiden in a MSW race at Golden Gate on 12/2. Angel's N Devildogs is being pointed to a 50K maiden race at Los Alamitos on 12/9.
Finally, Cupid's Claws is getting a rest at Legacy Ranch where he joins the three new Cal-bred yearlings purchased by Blinkers On this fall. Shares are still available if you are ready to make that move from spectator to owner!
