Red Outlaw, 3 for 3, is now a stakes winner after capturing the 75K Baffle Stake at Santa Anita on Sunday. With jockey Joel Rosario in the irons Red Outlaw pulled his way along outside a rival then stalked off the rail, was fanned four wide into the stretch but took the lead. In midstretch Red Outlaw and runner-up Gangman guy bumped but Red Outlaw gamely prevailed to win by a head. What a thrilling stretch run! Congratulations to the Blinkers On partners.
On Tuesday Top of the World over powered a field of eight Maiden Special Weight foes at Turf Paradise. Top of the World was sent to the front to set the pace with a clear lead under jockey Rocco Bowen. Top of the World then set all of the fractions and under mild left handed urging won by a comfortable 1 1/2 lengths. Top of the World will now be pointed to the Tempe Handicap run at a mile on the turf on 3/15. Glad to see our big boy pull through after his gate mishaps!
In other racing news, Nothing to Hide is being pointed to a race on 2/27 at Santa Anita Park. This is a maiden race going 6 1/2 on the downhill turf course. In her previous start she showed a ton of speed, so with a race under her belt and a little easier competition we think she will have a big shot to break through. Bullwhip will make his next start at Golden Gate in 30 days or so. Humming Beethoven is training forwardly as she makes her way back to the starting gate. Our 2 year old Chilled Mousee (4 shares still available) will ship into the Peter Miller barn next week. True Visionary will also leave the farm next week and will ship back to conditioner Mike Puype's barn. Off the Deep End will have his first recorded breeze at Santa Anita around the first of the month, what a good mover!
