This weekend could be a big day for the Blinkers On horse racing partnership. Plane Lucky, our quick 2 year old filly by Lucky Pulpit, is the morning line favorite in the 7th at Del Mar tomorrow. She is coming off a strong 3rd place finish at the same MSW level on opening day at Del Mar. She should be winging it on the lead, come and catch her! On 8/16, Red Outlaw, our 4 time stakes winner will be back in action. He and Mike Smith will team up in a $78,000 conditioned Allowance race (since he is Cal-bred he is eligible for the $23,400 bonus). This could serve as a prep for the Pirates Bounty Stake at the end of the Del Mar meet. Great to have the big guy back!
In other racing news...Off the Deep End, True Visionary, Goose Bumps and Awesome and Ready will all make a start at the brief Golden Gate summer meet at the end of the month and the beginning of September. Look Me in the Eye, our talented son of Marino Marini, couldn't quite get up in time and had to settle for second in a MSW for Cal-bred 2 year old's in his last race. He should be super tough in his next start, hopefully at the tail end of the Del Mar meet. If Rafael would have gone to the left handed stick a little earlier we may already have gotten that Maiden win, we'll never know. Last One Standing, another 2 year old in the Blinkers On stable also finished 2nd in his last start and looks to make amends at the end of the current Del Mar meet. Finally, Echo Chamber, our beautiful daughter of Majesticperfection, will be back in training in 3 weeks, we have high hopes for this girl!
