Humming Beethoven will stretch out tomorrow at Santa Anita in a 1 mile race on the turf. We hope the slight drop in class is what it takes to get her picture taken. Tyler Baze will be back in the irons for this Maiden 50K Claiming race. The race is the 3rd on the card and goes off at 2:00 PM. The following day at Santa Anita our talented son of In Excess, Off the Deep End, will try and make it 2 wins from 2 starts in a 6 1/2 furlong Starter Allowance race on the downhill turf course. He is bred top and bottom for the turf and he looks like the speed of the speed so we think he has a BIG shot! This is the 1st race on the card with a 1:00 post. Off the Deep End will be coming out of the 5 hole with leading jockey Joe Talamo in the irons. If you can't make it to the track tune in to TVG to root him on!
In other racing news...True Visionary will make his 2nd start off the layoff in a MSW race on 7/6 during the new Los Alamitos meet. This race is a mile on the main track. He has been training great and we have always wanted to stretch him out, we feel this is a great spot. Nothing to Hide should also be making a start at the Los Alamitos meet. She improved when we moved her to dirt and she broke her maiden so getting her a start at this meet makes sense before they go to Del Mar and run on the synthetic. She is eligible for the Starter Allowance so we may go there. Bullwhip, fresh of his 3rd place finish in a MSW sprint, is doing well and it looks like we will fire back in the same spot. Our stakes winner, Red Outlaw, is on target for the Real Good Deal Stakes at Del Mar on 8/1. Salute to Summer and Island Freedom are back on the work tab for trainer Mike Puype and we hope to get them a start by the end of the Del Mar meet. Finally, our 2 year olds, Chilled Mousse and Goose Bumps are training forwardly for conditioner Peter Miller and should make their first starts sometime in August at Del Mar. Kiss at Midnight is back galloping at Magali farm and it is great to have her back, sky is the limit with this filly!
