Off the Deep end will try for his 2nd win in 3 starts at Del Mar in the first race on 7/26. This is a Starter Allowance race going 6 furlongs on the main track. He is the Consensus pick by the handicapper's in the Daily Racing Form. Let's hope those guys got it right! He is training great with a 1 of 45 bullet work over the track, he should be tough especially with his speed and the track bias favoring speed. Joe Talamo will be along for the ride and 1st post is 2:00 if you have a chance to cheer him on. Red Outlaw and jockey Edwin Maldonado will team up to try and get the win in the 200K Real Good Deal Stake at Del Mar on 8/1. If he can get the job done it will be his 2nd stakes win in a row and he will have won his first 4 races, quite an accomplishment!
In other racing news...Chilled Mousse, our 2 year old colt by the Pamplemousse, will make his first start at Del Mar on the same card as Red Outlaw, a busy day for the Blinkers On team. Chilled Mousse has been training well but conditioner Peter Miller thinks his best races will be when he stretches out. He feels he will be a route horse like his daddy. Goose Bumps, our 2 year old filly by High Cotton, looks like she will make her first start at Del Mar on 8/8. She also looks like she can run all day so when we can stretch her out after a couple of sprints I think that's when she will shine. True Visionary and Humming Beethoven look like they will make their next starts in the middle of August at Del Mar or Golden Gate. Nothing to Hide will try and make it 3 in a row sometime in August as well. She has really stepped up her game when she has run on dirt, she will work this weekend over the synthetic at Del Mar, we hope she takes to it! Salute to Summer and Island Freedom are training forwardly for trainer Mike Puype at Los Alamitos. And finally, Our 2 year old fillies, Kiss at Midnight and Awesome and Ready arrived at Peter Miller's stable at San Luis Rey.
