Look Me in the Eye, out talented son of Marino Marini, will team up with jockey Mike Smith in a 5 furlong Maiden Special Weight race at Santa Anita on 6/26. He has been training lights out according to trainer Mike Puype and the professional clockers. If we can get the job done here we will point to the Graduation Stake at Del Mar on 8/5. Our only concern at this point is he may need a little more distance than 5 furlongs. Good luck Look Me in the Eye! Off the Deep End will suit up the following day at Oak Tree Pleasanton in a 6 furlong Allowance race. Off the Deep End is coming off a wire to wire score in a 5 furlong dash at Golden Gate and has trained well since. If he can get out to a comfortable lead he should be tough to handle on Pleasanton's speed bias track.
In other racing news...our 4 time Stakes winner Red Outlaw will be ready for the upcoming Del Mar meet where last year he won the Real Good Deal Stake and the El Cajon. I hope he likes the new dirt surface as well as he liked the synthetic! Maiden winner True Visionary will point to a turf race at the upcoming Sonoma County Fair meet or wait until racing resumes at Golden Gate Fields. Goose Bumps will look to rebound in a Maiden Claiming race at the upcoming Los Alamitos meet. Awesome and Ready, our speedy 2 year old filly Plane Lucky, and our big 2 year old colt Last One Standing will debut at Del Mar when the meet opens on 7/16. Finally, Echo Chamber, a filly Blinkers On purchased out of April OBS, is in training with conditioner Peter Miller at San Luis Rey. She is showing a ton of talent as she did in the under tack show, our hopes are high!
