Blinkers On has acquired two "just turned two" 2 year old's privately for the partnership. The first is a leggy filly named Gee Street by the terrific KY stallion Street Boss. She is out of a stakes winning mare with earnings over 150K. Gee Street has a huge walk that will transfer to a big stride on the track and she was foaled in Ca so she is Cal-bred! The second purchase is a quick gelding by Coil, the hot new CA stallion. This son of the G1 winning sire Coil is a great mover and very powerful behind, we look for him to be the win early type. With the Cal-bred Maiden bonus, purse bonuses and the 5 million dollar Golden State series of stakes races, it pays to be Cal-bred. If you have interest and would like to get on the list for available shares in these offerings please call Scott at 1 888 TO RACENOW.
In other racing news...Last One Standing will be looking for his 3rd win at Santa Anita this weekend. He is being pointed to an allowance dirt race on 2/14 or a 1 mile allowance race on the turf the following day. Echo Chamber got beat under 5 lengths for the whole thing after breaking last and having a rough trip in a MSW race at Santa Anita on the downhill turf course. She should take a big step forward next out with the education. Look Me in the Eye, our talented son of Marino Marini, is getting close to his comeback race. He finished 2nd and 3rd in his first two races at the MSW level. He is training well and should be ready by 3/1. Plane lucky, our other Cal-bred 3 year old, is right behind Mr. Eye in her way back to the races. Conditioner Peter Miller says all is going well and she will have a breeze by the end of the week. Our 2 year old's, Right Hand Man and Jet Ski have been broke and are maturing at the farm and will come back into training in 30 days. We are targeting June/July for their first starts.
