Blinkers On hopes to acquire another two Cal-bred 2 year old's to race for it's Horse Racing Partnerships at the upcoming Barretts Mixed Sale on 1/20 at Del Mar. With the maiden bonus, additional purse monies and over 5 Million up for grabs in the Golden State Series stakes program "it pays to own a Cal-bred!" Four time stakes winner Red Outlaw is just one of the success stories Blinkers On has had campaigning a Cal-bred in recent years.
In other racing news...it looks like we are in for a wet El Nino winter and it is sure to play havoc with horse racing especially in Southern California. Tracks will be sealed for racing which will limit training and if they aren't sealed they will get so messy trainers won't train because of safety concerns. Gates won't be available for gate works/schooling on real muddy tracks and I am sure a countless number of races will come of the turf and will have to be run on the main track. Patience will be a virtue for Horse Racing Partnerships and Owners!
Red Outlaw, Off the Deep End and Last One Standing will be looking to make a start this month. Echo Chamber, our 3 year old daughter of Majesticperfection, will also be looking to make her first start at the end of the month if the weather will cooperate so she can get her needed gate work in. Look Me in the Eye and Plane Lucky, just turned 3 year old's coming off the farm are back training and will also be dealing with the weather as they get back into racing shape. Finally, Jet Ski and Right Hand Man are doing great for conditioner Jeff Bonde. Our two colts just turned 2 on Jan 1 and have already been broke and are on the track jogging. After they have galloped for a couple of weeks they will go back to the farm to mature for a couple of months then it will be back to the track to get serious and get ready to run. Good Racing Luck to All in the New Year!
