Blinkers On will be looking to add to the horse racing partnership's stable at the upcoming Barretts Fall Yearling Sale being held at Del Mar on 10/27. The business model will be the same, purchase the best Cal-bred we can find and hope to take advantage of the fantastic Cal-bred bonuses and the 5.5 million in purse money offered during the Golden State series of stake races. Our success with Cal-bred's is well documented with 4 time stakes winner, Red Outlaw purchased for $40,000 at the sale. Red Outlaw has won close to $400,000 for the Blinkers On horse racing partnership. Kiss at Midnight was purchased for $27,000, is stakes placed, and has gone on to earn over $200,000. Greg Gilchrist, Peter Miller and Jeff Bonde, Blinkers On's bloodstock consultant's, will look at all 210 horses that will be going through the ring looking for the next champion!
In other racing news...Last One Standing will run opening day at Del Mar in a 40K Maiden race going a mile on the main track. The big guy has run 2nd and 3rd in his last two starts and is ready to break through! This is a sub race in the condition book and if this race doesn't go we have options on 10/31 and 11/7. Red Outlaw and our beautiful 2 year old filly by Majestcperfection, Echo Chamber, will go to post as soon as the Santa Anita winter meet kicks off. Off the Deep End will be back in action at Golden Gate later next month. Plane Lucky and our extremely talented 2 year old Cal-bred, Look Me in the Eye, are vacationing at the Bonnie Acres farm and we will see them back in action early in 2016.
