On 10/20 Plane Lucky played come and catch me when she went wire to wire at Santa Anita in a 6 furlong Cal-bred Allowance race. This was her second win at Santa Anita in as many starts and pushed her career earnings to $108,000. The 85 Beyer Speed figure she earned in this race may have punched her ticket to the Bear Fan Stake at Golden Gate on 12/4. This race is for Cal-bred fillies and mares going 6 furlongs on the Tapeta. On 10/21 Maven Harry broke through at Golden Gate with a stylish win, running down the favorite and completing the 6 furlongs in 1:10.3. Maven Harry's maiden win comes in his 4th career start, looks like the light bulb went on!
In other racing news...Last One Standing will be gunning for his 4th win on 10/30. It will either be a 20K claimer at Golden Gate or a 25K claimer at Santa Anita. We would prefer to stay at home and run for the bigger pot at Santa Anita but we just want at least one of the races to fill. Both tracks have had problems getting races to go. Next up for the horse racing partnership will be our stakes winner Right Hand Man. He will be looking for his 2nd stakes win in the 50K Golden Nugget Stake at Golden Gate on 11/12. We expect he will be the heavy favorite based on his strong second place finish in the Speakeasy Stake at Santa Anita on 10/16. Jet Ski will kick off Del Mar for the horse racing partnership on 11/18 in a MSW 1 mile turf race for Cal-bred's. We are excited to get Jet Ski on the turf, he has two full siblings that have won going long on the grass including G3 winner Poshky. Decoded will try and rebound on 11/20 in a Cal-bred MSW race going 6 furlongs on Del Mar's main track. She stretched her stifle in her last start which we feel contributed to the off effort. Finally, Gator Don't Play should be ready to make his first start in 4 to 6 weeks and Gee Street will return from a freshening at Magali Farm in about 3 weeks. We have high hopes for this filly, what a stride on her!
