Running Water made it two in a row at Golden Gate Fields in a thrilling photo finish on Friday the 29th. With Hall of Fame rider Russell Baze in the irons, Running Water dove to the rail inside the eighth pole and got up in the last jump for the win. Congratulations to the Blinkers On Partnership!
Next on tap is Stole a Kiss on 12/21 at Hollywood Park in the 200K Soviet Problem Stakes. Jockey Joe Talamo will again be in the irons trying to get our filly her first stakes win. Stole a Kiss is a full sister to the stakes winning mare Quisisana so if we can get some black type on Stole a Kiss she will become valuable as a broodmare when her racing days are over. Residual value is another way horse racing partnerships can create income for their partners. The following day our men among boys, Mass Transit, will try to get a stakes win in the 200K King Glorious Stakes. The 7 furlong King Glorious should be a perfect distance for Mass Transit and based on how well he is training (1:12.4 bullet work at Hollywood Park today) he should have a great chance to get a stakes victory for Blinkers On. The King Glorious is the last stake that will ever be run at Hollywood Park because the 22nd is the final day of racing before the track is closed. Kind of sad, Blinkers On Racing Stable has had a lot of success at Hollywood including winning the G1 Hollywood Starlet with Turbulent Descent.
Red Outlaw and Nothing to Hide continue to train forwardly as they prepare for their respective starts at the beginning of the Santa Anita meet. Salute to Summer and Bullwhip will also make their next starts at Santa Anita in January. Humming Beethoven, True Visionary and Off the Deep End will be coming in from Magali Farm in the next 45-90 days with Island Freedom right on their heels.
