BLINKERS ON RACING STABLE

NEWS

Blinkers On's January racing schedule starting to take shape!

Stole a Kiss will run on Friday 1/10 at Santa Anita Park in a 50K Claiming race for 3 year old fillies going a mile on the turf. Decarchy, Stole a Kiss's sire, is an prominent turf sire so she should love the weeds. The class relief and 1 mile distance should also help her move forward. Regular jockey Joe Talamo will be in the irons coming out of the 5 hole in the 7 horse field. On paper it looks like a 2 horse race. Good luck Stole a Kiss! The race is the 3rd on the card and will go off at 2:00 PST if you have a chance to watch the race and root her on.

Mass Transit is back after a brief illness knocked him out of the King Glorious Stake. He worked a good half mile today and if all goes well may run in a N1X Allowance race going 6 1/2 furlongs on the Santa Anita downhill turf course on 1/16. Great to have him back!

Bullwhip is being pointed to a 5 1/2 furlong MSW race on 1/18 at Santa Anita. Cutting back in distance and getting a weight break with the bug boy should only flatter his speed. He is one quick horse, hopefully the gelding got his head straight and he sticks to business down the lane.

Red Outlaw's Cal Bred race scheduled for 1/9 at Santa Anita did not fill so we have had to go to plan B. We are looking at a N1X Allowance race at Golden Gate Fields on 1/19 for his next start. The beauty of running in No. California if you are a state bred is you can win this condition twice and Red Outlaw is a Cal Bred. The race is 6 furlongs on the main track. The distance and surface should be perfect because he broke his maiden on the synthetic at Hollywood Park at 6 furlongs. It also looks like a good spot coming off his layoff because of the softer competition. He should be a standout based on class!

In other news... Top of the World has been sent to conditioner Jeff Metz in Arizona. We are hoping the change in scenery will fix his problem breaking from the gate. From a talent standpoint he should be ultra tough at Turf Paradise. Salute to Summer is training and is finally recovering from being sick. Nothing to Hide is training great at Hollywood Park for trainer Peter Miller. She has had her second 5 furlong work and should make her first start in about a month. She is fast like her sire Run Away and Hide and Peter's challenge has been to get her to relax but I think the light bulb has gone on because she seems to be doing everything the right way now! Humming Beethoven, our beautiful daughter of Mr. Greeley, is less than 2 weeks away from leaving Magali Farm and getting back into Puype's barn. We have always had high hopes for this filly, now's the time! Off the Deep End's departure from Magali should be right behind Humming Beethoven. True Visionary and Island Freedom will start their training at the farm shortly, and finally, our just turned 2, 2 year olds, are growing up and looking good! There are still shares available in Chilled Mousse, our big striding son of The Pamplemousse starting at only $3,745 for a 5% share. Check out the offerings page on our website!
