Island Freedom, with jockey Joe Talamo in the irons, won at first asking in a 5 1/2 furlong sprint at Los Alamitos on 9/19. Island Freedom set the pace, dueled at the top of the lane then drew clear and was under a long hold late for an easy win. Our handsome son of Unbridled's Song is being pointed to a Starter Allowance race going 6 1/2 furlongs on Santa Anita's downhill turf course on 10/11. Congratulations to the Blinkers On Partners on Island Freedom's impressive win!
In other racing news...True Visionary may also go on 10/11 at Santa Anita in a Maiden 40K race going 1 1/16th on the main track. True Visionary was gelded after his last race and we are hoping he will focus and put out a little more in the afternoons. He sure looks like a runner! Red Outlaw will most likely run in the California Flag H on 10/18. This 100K stake is for Cal Bred's and will be run on the Santa Anita downhill turf course, the home of his first stakes win. Red Outlaw is undefeated, has won 5 in a row with the last 3 being stakes races. Humming Beethoven who has won 2 of her last 3 with a second, is waiting for Golden Gate racing to resume in mid-October. Salute to Summer will return to the track next week after battling a leg infection. Our 2 year old filly, Kiss at Midnight, is training forwardly for conditioner Peter Miller at San Luis Rey. Off the Deep End and Goose Bumps are kicking back at the farm enjoying our Indian Summer!
