Blinkers On was active at the Barretts October yearling sale on 10/7. We purchased a quick looking filly by Lucky Pulpit, sire of Kentucky Derby winner California Chrome. She is out of the productive mare Jetinwith Kennedy. She is now named Plane Lucky and will be trained by conditioner Peter Miller. Our second purchase is a well balanced, leggy colt by Marino Marini out of Just Lookn. Now named Look Me in the Eye, this athletic colt was our top pick in the entire sale. These offerings will be available for viewing on the website in about a week.
In other racing news...Island Freedom will be looking for his second win at Santa Anita on 10/12 in a Starter Allowance race on the downhill turf course. Joe Talamo will be in the irons. This is the 4th race on the card with a 2:30 post and Island Freedom is 5-1 on the morning line. The following day True Visionary will try and break through in a MCL 40K race going 1 1/16th on the main track. This is the 2nd race on the card with a 1:30 post. Good Luck to all!
Red Outlaw has a number of stakes opportunities upcoming. Our undefeated son of Tribal Rule may go in the California flag H on 10/18 or the Uniformity stake the following day. The G2 Twilight Derbty on 10/31 is still in the mix as well. We will keep you posted. Humming Beethoven looks like she will return to action at Golden Gate on 10/30 in a 1 mile grass race. Kiss at Midnight, our 2 year old filly continues to train up to her first race. Salute to Summer is back in training and she breeze shortly. Finally, Off the Deep end and Goose Bumps are enjoying the Indian summer on the farm.
