Last One Standing broke through in impressive fashion at Golden Gate Fields on Breeders Cup Saturday. This was his first attempt at a route of ground as well as running on the grass. Needless to say he made the most of it. Last One Standing took the early advantage from the rail, then under good rating from apprentice David Lopez, allowed William Crotty to advance from his inside and duel for the lead on the backstretch, disposed of that rival when ready in the lane and edged clear driving for a 2 1/4 length score. Congratulations to the Blinkers On Partnership! Last One Standing will be pointed to an Allowance race at GGF on 11/28.
Blinkers On acquired two handsome yearling at the Barretts Fall Sale held at Del Mar on 10/27. The first was a quick looking colt by Vronsky out of the productive mare, Pinky's Posh. Our yearling is a full brother to over 200K earner Poshky trained by Blinkers On trainer Peter Miller. The second purchase was a Street Boss colt by Storm Queen. This "men among boys" was the physical standout at the sale. All shares have been sold in these 2 promising thoroughbreds.
In other racing news...Four time stakes winner Red Outlaw and our beautiful 2 year old Majesticperfection filly, Echo Chamber, are training forwardly and will been ready for the Santa Anita winter meet when it begins on 12/26. Off the Deep end will be ready for action at GGF later this month while Look Me in the Eye and Plane Lucky enjoy a little R&R at the farm.
