Steph Being Steph was runner up in the Anoakia Stake at Santa Anita on 10/22. On paper the race looked loaded with speed which looked perfect for Steph who comes from off the pace. The winner got loose on an easy lead and Steph couldn't quite get to her but we are proud of the effort she put forth. It did sting a bit losing to Artistic Diva, Blinkers on loved her at the OBS April sale and were actually the under bidders on the filly. Ouch! The next stakes action for Blinkers On will be at Golden Gate Fields in the Oakland with Right Hand Man. He should be tough in that race, we know he loves the surface, he earned his first stakes victory there. The Oakland will be run on 11/18.
Del Mar begins it's fall meet on 11/1 with Breeders Cup action on 11/3 and 11/4. Blinkers On will have Gee Street going to post on 11/11 in a MSW race for Cal-bred fillies and mares. Angels N Devildogs, our promising 2 year old filly, will run in the second half of the meet. Depending on races filling at the end of the Santa Anita meet Plane Lucky and Gator Don't Play could also see action.
Finally, Blinkers On has purchased 3 Cal-bred yearlings and the offerings will be available for viewing on the website on or about 10/27. A filly and a colt by leading California first crop sire, Smiling Tiger, will be syndicated as well as a colt by Breeders Cup winner, Mucho Macho Man. He is a beast and he is Cal-bred!
