The Winter/Spring meet kicks off at the Great Race Place on 12/26 and the Blinkers On Racing Stable horse racing partnership is loaded with runners. Cupid's Claws will try and make it back to back wins on Opening Day in a first condition Allowance race going 1 1/8th on the turf. Our handsome son of Kittens Joy continues to improve with age and is training lights out so we expect a big effort. On 1/4 we finally get Square Peggy on the grass. Offspring of Square Eddie love the Santa Anita downhill turf course so we have high hopes for our girl in this first condition Allowance race for Cal-bred 3 year old fillies. On 1/11 our stakes winning filly, Steph Being Steph, will go to post in a 6 furlong second condition Allowance race. We hope we can use this race as a springboard back to stakes competition. Her feet were a problem but conditioner Brian Koriner said he feels he has things under control. First time starters A Man's Man and Don'tteasethetiger along with stakes placed come backer First Dudette should be heading to post in the next 60 to 90 days. Grinningeartoear won't be far behind. Up north at Golden Gate Fields Angels N Devildogs is expected to return to action in January.
A special congratulations to the Rose Dunn Partners on Rose's brilliant MSW win in her debut at Los Alamitos last weekend. She lived up to her 2-5 odds with a convincing score! The long term goal for Miss Dunn is the 200K Evening Jewel Stake for Cal-bred fillies on 4/6. The 6 1/2 furlong distance should be perfect for our daughter of leading second crop sire Violence.
Finally, our yearling fillies Traffic Stopper and Unchain Her Heart are showing a ton of ability in training and will be sent into Brian Koriner's barn in February. There are a limited number of shares available if you are ready to make the move from spectator to owner!
